FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- The Alderson Broaddus seven-element acrobatics team earned its first National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association national championship.

Allyson Frost,
Ashlee Frost-Orr,
Alia Nolan and
Alexis Gregorio topped teams from Baylor, Oregon and Quinnipiac to earn the programs first national title.
AB just missed out on a second national crown in the third heat of the pyramid event. After all the teams had competed once there was a three-way tie between the Battlers, Oregon and Baylor. After all three teams performed the skill again, the Ducks claimed the crown.
The Battlers open the team competition on Friday when they take on Oregon at 5:30 p.m.
