Elleah Wilding will represent AB at the NSCRO Women's 7's All-Star Championship in St. Petersburg, FL on January 18-19, 2020.
The NSCRO Women's 7's All-Star Championship will be held at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL, where 12 conference-based teams will be competing.
"As a new varsity program, we have had the opportunity to build our game from the ground up based on the strengths of our players. Our players are excited to get on the field as a team and show what AB Rugby is about. Their commitment to core skill development and team structure will shine through this spring," head coach
Laura Miller said.
Alderson Broaddus is represented by six of the twelve members on the Allegheny Rugby Union.
"Even though the program is young, AB has attracted a group of young and talented players. We are excited for them to inject their skill set into our roster to best represent our union on a national stage," said Angela Smarto, the Allegheny Rugby Women's Collegiate Coordinator and Select Side Coach.
The Alderson Broaddus women's rugby team is incredibly young, as five of their All-Star players are freshmen. As a young program, building a great culture is one of head coach
Laura Miller's main focus points this season.
"We are thrilled to have AB represented on the ARU 7's All-Stars. As a first-year team these athletes have learned quickly how hard it is to build a culture from scratch, their hard work and willingness to set a high standard is paying off," Miller said.
